Free Fishing Event for Children this Saturday in Georgia

This Saturday will bring a lot of fun for kids as Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center will host a free fishing event for them starting at 8.30 am at the Hayes-Qutz Outdoor Education Center, stocked with bass, bream and catfish.

The event to be held on Saturday 27th April 2013 welcomes children of age 5 to 16 under the supervision of a parent or a guardian. Children younger than 5 years will also be entertained as long as their parents are accompanying them, as told by Leroy Bagley, the educational program specialist of FFA-FCCLA Center.

Equipment will have to be brought on their own by the participating children. There will be various age categories and prizes will be announced for each of them on the basis of the largest quantity of fish caught as well as the biggest size of fish.

A lunch of hot dog will also be served in the afternoon.

Bagley told that in the past the event has attracted about 30 to 70 participants.

Children who have not yet started fishing will be welcomed on the event and training will be given to them. So, this is a good opportunity for parents to encourage their children to engage into the hobby of fishing.

Those interested in the event should RSVP to Leroy Bagley at 770-786-6926 extension-8 or at
